Launch Across Lane
The DesistAR launches caltrops attached to a tow rope across the traffic lane using a blank .764 caliber round. Adjustable powder loads control distance (3-20 yards)
Tire Penetration & Deflation
When the vehicle drives over the caltrops, spikes penetrate tires causing controlled deflation. Tire rotation pulls thee chord into the wheel well.
Self Capturing System
The tow rope wraps around the under carriage as the tires rotate. The entire system is captured on the vehicle – no recovery needed. Tension may extract caltrops, creating larger holes increasing defltaion speed.

Ist Bite is a simple, effective tire deflation device used by law enforcement and security personnel to prevent stationary vehicles from fleeing during traffic stops or Investigations. By placing it under a parked tire and securing the magnetic anchor to the vehicle’s body, any attempt to drive away embeds stainless-steel caltrop spikes–safely deflating the tire in under 5 seconds.
